![]() ![]() Logically, Kretinsky is unlikely to make an offer at this point and not least because it is unclear which division West Ham will be in next season. ![]() Kretinsky already has an option for a full buy-out at a price set when he bought his shares but that can only take place if Sullivan – who owns 38.8 per cent – and the family of the recently deceased co-owner David Gold – with 25.1 per cent – agree to sell. It has long been expected that Daniel Kretinsky, the Czech billionaire who bought a 27 per cent stake in Nov 2021, would mount a takeover and that may well happen eventually. It may appear that West Ham – and Moyes - are on the brink but there is a determination to pull back from it while, despite the expiry this month of a 10-year penalty clause that would clear the way for the club to be sold, it is understood that this has not even been discussed and will not be contemplated by co-owner Sullivan. ![]() With 13 Premier League games to go there is an air of defiance at the London Stadium and even a sense that a campaign that promised so much and has been so disappointing can still be salvaged.
